The first WINECORE dinner took place on Wednesday, April 26th, at the Dionysus Mansion restaurant in Limassol.
The 15 Cypriot wineries that make up the core of WINECORE welcomed their guests including the Minister of Energy, the Deputy Mayor of Limassol, the Secretary General of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce, representatives of beverage distribution companies and wine-related products import companies, sommeliers, local authorities as well as wine lovers from all over Cyprus.
Flavors of the Mediterranean cuisine accompanied the 26 wines of WINECORE Wineries made from the Cypriot indigenous varieties Xynisteri, Vasilissa, Promara, Yiannoudi, Maratheftiko and Mavro as well as Commandaria.
The echo of this successful first dinner is contained in the words of the president of WINECORE, Mr. Marcos Zambartas who, among other things, mentioned: "The association of Cypriot winemakers WINECORE seeks, through the experience of the wines it proposes, to define Cyprus in the minds of wine lovers around the island and worldwide as a Place of rare and exceptional vineyards."
